Dreaming of Strawberries

Image
These are Honeyoye and Seascape strawberries that I harvested last summer.  I bought the organically grown plants from Peaceful Valley in 2012, planted them in raised beds and kept the blooms picked off until 2013.  It was hard to be patient but I ended up with loads of delicious strawberries, plenty for us AND the hungry rolypolies!

Several Black Swallowtail butterflies were added to the world from my garden last summer.  My Dill and Bronze Fennel plants were sacrificed!

Good Morning, it is cold out there. :-)

Dry winters are hard on plants, when the ground is not frozen, be sure to water. Be sure to disconnect and drain the hose when finished. Profusion yellow zinnias, nice plant for along your paths. Stays neat & tidy till a hard frost.
